This course introduces the processes of socialization focusing on the interrelationship of family, school, and community institutions. They explore the role of collaboration between family, community, and schools in supporting children’s development, birth through adolescence. And they build strategies to support children and families from socially and economically diverse backgrounds as they engage in education and social service systems.
