Exploration of the history, aesthetics, mechanics, and politics of Hip Hop culture analyzed from a social, economic, and political perspective. Emphasis on the African American aspects and African-centered qualities of the cultural movement known as Hip Hop. Analyzes how these movements help shape and inform Hip Hop culture in music, fashion, language, film, lifestyles, and media.
