ESL 400 Composition for Multilingual Students

Designed for advanced English language learners. Students plan, organize, compose, and revise expository essays based on the analysis of complex fiction and nonfiction texts from diverse American authors and works of social, historical, and cultural importance. Students synthesize academic sources to support arguments. Students utilize advanced English grammar, mechanics, and vocabulary.

This section is designed for students enrolled in the College for Working Adults (CWA) program. Students who wish to enroll in the ESL program should have a knowledge of basic English equivalent to at least one year of study in programs such as Adult Basic Education and language schools, or previous English language instruction in their native country.
