Course Information

ESOL 400 Critical Reading & Writing for Multilingual Speakers Advanced multilingual speakers expand their critical reading, analysis, and writing abilities of culturally diverse texts and broaden their cultural understanding of the world and the human condition. Students discuss works of social, historical, and cultural importance, relate them to their own experiences, and situate them in a modern context. Students engage in the process of writing, organizing their ideas, and synthesizing sources using academic discourse, vocabulary, and research.

Prerequisites: ESOL 840 or appropriate skill level as indicated by ESL assessment and other measures as necessary.
