Course Information
In this course students learn to use word analysis skills to expand vocabulary, as well as to use strategies for understanding new words from contexts. There is additional attention to analysis of word parts and to expanding vocabulary via domains and concepts related to academic disciplines and vocational areas. Units do not apply toward AA/AS degree Letter Grade Only
Lecture hours/semester: 32-36
Homework hours/semester: 64-72
Recommended: ESL 911 and ESL 921 or equivalent, or appropriate skill level as indicated by ESL placement test and other measures as necessary.
