Course Information

This course introduces students to the sources and methods used to conduct legal research using print and online legal resources contained in a state or county law library. Students will gain familiarity with primary and secondary sources and understand how they are used, organized, and kept current. Fundamental legal research skills will be identified, explained, and applied to approach and conduct legal research in any area of law. Strategies will be developed to effectively use legal research databases, online legal resources, and practice tools.
