KINE 101 INTRODUCTION TO KINESIOLOGY

Units (Letter grade) 3; Class Hours: Minimum of 40 lecture/24 lab hours/semester; Recommended: Eligibility for READ 836, and ENGL 836 or ESL 400; Prerequisite(s): None.

Description: This course explores the broad spectrum of kinesiology and its subdisciplines. It includes fundamental concepts of movement and physical activity, sociocultural influences, career options, current issues in the field of kinesiology and professional responsibilities. Students initiate their professional portfolio in this course. Transfer: CSU: E1, UC.
