LIT. 442 FILM STUDY AND APPRECIATION

Units (Grade Option) 3; Class Hours: Minimum of 48 lecture hours/semester; Recommended: Eligibility for READ 836, and ENGL 836 or ESL 400; Prerequisite(s): None.

Description: Film study and appreciation with a focus on one area of study: i.e., one period, genre, director, national cinema, chosen from film history. Screening of films followed by discussion, reading, and writing, with emphasis on students' abilities to think, speak and write critically about films. Transfer: CSU: C1, C2, UC. (IGETC: 3A)
