Description: An introduction to the understanding and appreciation of art and music, especially in the context of European history. An investigation into the elements of art and music equip the student to see and hear with greater discrimination, as well as recognize how these elements relate to changes in society. Lectures are illustrated with slides, recordings, films, etc., attendance at a live performance and a museum visit required. Transfer: CSU: C1, UC. (IGETC: 3A)
