Description: This course introduces students to the technique of comparing nation-states using different approaches to study multiple governments such as institutional, cultural and class. Political cultures are compared in order to critically analyze the viability of particular governments on a global scale. Topics include: civic culture, group politics, functionalism, dependency, legitimacy and leadership. Transfer: CSU: DSI, UC. (IGETC: 4)

Web assisted courses require regular access to a computer with reliable internet connection and basic computer literacy. Web access is available in the Cañada College Learning Center.

Web assisted courses combine face-to-face classroom instruction with computer-based online learning. Web assisted courses include an online learning component which comprises less than 51% of the total instructional component of the course (including To Be Arranged hours). Students meet on campus for a portion of the class and then work independently to complete the online portion of the course.
