Description: This course is a continuation of CHEM 231. It introduces the chemistry of aromatic compounds, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, carbohydrates, lipids, aminoacids and proteins with emphasis on synthesis and reaction mechanisms. Recommended to be taken concurrently with CHEM 238. Transfer: CSU: B1, UC. (IGETC: 5A)
