DANC 143 INTERMEDIATE BALLET

Units (Grade Option) 1; Class Hours: Minimum of 48 lab hours/semester; Basic Skills Level: Open Curriculum; Prerequisite(s): DANC 140.

Description: Designed to reinforce the fundamentals of classical ballet with emphasis on body alignment and effective methods of gaining strength and flexibility necessary for complex ballet variations. Students practice ballet technical and expressive skills at a higher level of proficiency. It includes the barre, the center floor and complex ballet variations. May be repeated for credit up to 2 times. Transfer: CSU: E2, UC.
