MATH 120 INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRA Description: This is the second course in a 2-part series covering elementary and intermediate algebra and is a continuation of MATH 110. Topics include a review of equations, absolute value, lines and graphs, functions, rational exponents, radical expressions and equations, quadratic equations and graphs, exponential functions, and logarithmic functions. Additional topics may include conic sections and systems of equations.
MATH 120 INTERMEDIATE ALGEBRAUnits (Letter grade) 5; Class Hours: Minimum of 80 lecture hours/semester; Recommended: Eligibility for READ 836, and ENGL 836 or ESL 400; Prerequisite(s): MATH 110 or 112, or appropriate score on District math placement test and other measures as appropriate.
