LIT. 373 LATIN AMERICAN LITERATURE IN TRANSLATION

Units (Letter grade) 3; Class Hours: Minimum of 48 lecture hours/semester; Prerequisite(s): ENGL 100.

Description: In this course students study Latin American literature written in English. An emphasis is placed on contemporary shorts stories, poems, and novels as well as films. In order to fully appreciate these texts, students learn about relevant historical, political, and social issues. (Fulfills Associate degree Ethnic Studies requirement.) Transfer: CSU: C2, UC. (IGETC: 3B)
