CIS 264 Computer Organization and Systems Programming The internal organization and operation of digital computers. Systems programming in C programming language. Assembly languages, machine architecture, support for high-level languages (logic, arithmetic, instruction sequencing) and operating systems (I/O, interrupts, memory management, process switching). Elements of computer logic design. Tradeoffs involved in fundamental architectural design decisions. Units: 4 Degree Credit Grade Option (Letter Grade or Pass/No Pass)
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Intermediate Algebra or equivalent, or placement by other measures as applicable and CIS 254 or CIS 278 Corequisites: None Transfer Credit: CSU, UC C-ID: COMP 142
