Extra supplies/lab fee may be required in all Electronics Technology courses ELEC 290 Introduction to Communications Systems (3) Minimum of 32 lecture and 48 lab hours plus 32 hours by arrangement per term. Prerequisite: ELEC 202 or equivalent with a grade of C or higher.Description: Study of the reception and transmission of electromagnetic waves containing information. Includes AM and FM signal processing, television broadcasting, fiber optics, digital and satellite communications technologies, and PCS (cellular/pager) related technologies.
